Its that season again! Christmas. Everyone is in a jovial mood planning this or that. A lot of celebration, traveling, drinking etc. But why? What is the reason for this season?
Christmas is the commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ, the son of God, who took the human form and came to the world for the sole purpose of reconciling mankind to God.
Jesus was born by Virgin Mary through the power of the Holy Spirit. He grew up at Nazareth and at the age of thirty years, he began his ministry. At the age of thirty three he was crucified but after three days he resurrected. He later ascended to heaven.
Jesus Christ was offered as atonement for sins of mankind so that through that the human race may be saved.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16(NIV)

For Christ also died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body, but made alive by the Spirit. 1 Peter 3:18(NIV)

As we celebrate this season, let us ask ourselves whether we have accepted this gift given to us by God; The gift for the forgiveness of our sins. Have you accepted Christ as the Lord and saviour of your life?

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me.” John 14:6(NIV)

Yet to all who received him, those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become the children of God. John 1:12(NIV)

God loves you.
God bless you.
Merry Christmas!
