The first thing I was taught in swimming was how to float (thanks JP for this lesson). The trick is to relax and just let the water to carry you. It did not require you to splash water all over or to battle to remain afloat. Experts say that the human body has the same density with water and so you do not have to do much to float. This is an important lesson in life. There are many situations in life that do not require all the energy that you have. So, relax. The world is not dependent on you for its existence.

Before I rant some more about this, let me say that life is a function of many factors. One advice does not apply to all situations. That said, lets now encourage ourselves to relax and not to be anxious of everything. Some of us worry so much of things that are not our business and others that we can’t change. This is the group I will like to encourage to relax. Life has its way of going on whether we are there or not. So, let it be.

Do not be so rigid. Be open. We are all learning and we will keep at it till we are dead. No one knows everything. So, relax.

Do not hold grudges, or bitterness or hatred. Release your heart. Relax and let it be.

You better enjoy your life while you are still around as you may not be for long.

Worrying is like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do, but it doesn’t get you anywhere. –Van Wilder

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7(NIV)
